Conference Overview

This exciting and informative symposium provides annual state-of-the-art training for healthcare professionals in diabetes prevention, education, and clinical care. Led by expert faculty, the sessions are lecture-based with question-and-answer periods throughout. This year’s symposium features presentations focused on: Equity in Diabetes Care; Telemedicine: reaching people in rural communities; Mental Decline in Diabetic Patients; Lipids and Diabetes; Oral Health; Diabetes in Pregnancy; Innovative Approaches to Optimize Glycemic Management to Overcome Barriers to Diabetes Care; Scale and Sustainability for Diabetes Prevention and Care. The symposium is designed for practicing endocrinologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, certified diabetes educators, dietitians, nurses, social workers, and trainees.
