Diversity & Inclusion

“We are committed to creating an inclusive experience for the lives we touch.”

The department of OB/GYN at MUSC places a high value on diversity and inclusion. In turn we actively seek to enrich our resident applicant pool with minority students. As an institution and a department, we believe that diversity and inclusion fosters innovation, and innovation is the key to better Health care. At MUSC, we serve a very diverse patient population. We believe that encouraging diversity in our students, residents, fellows, faculty and staff allow us to relate to our patients in the best way possible. Our department is committed to the recruitment of diverse individuals through our participation in the Underrepresented in Medicine Visiting Student Program at MUSC which provides funds for educational expenses for visiting students.

As we move to virtual interviews this year, MUSC is hosting virtual hangouts for our underrepresented applicants to meet with a diverse group of residents to answer questions about MUSC and its efforts to provide networking opportunities for underrepresented physicians with community physicians, and community service projects.

These sessions will be hosted by residents.  We simply ask that you follow the selected link to sign up for one of the sessions.
