Background

Shoulder pain is a common problem that results from a number of causes. There are a variety of treatment options including physical therapy, injections and surgery. Physical therapy is a critical part of successful management of shoulder disease and is usually chosen regardless of the severity of the problem. Successful therapy should be predicated on evidence-based medicine and should be a cooperative effort between the surgeon and physical therapist to ensure the patient's outcome is optimized.

Mission Statement

To develop an interdisciplinary cooperative between orthopaedic surgeons and physical therapists to optimize the management of shoulder pathology.
