Dr. Scarlett Johnson is a second year PHM fellow at MUSC. She attended medical school at the University Of Hawaii John A Burns School Of Medicine and completed Pediatric Residency through Hawaii Residency Program in Honolulu, Hawaii. Current research interests are healthcare utilization and cost associated with Kawasaki’s Disease and quality improvement with a focus on antibiotic stewardship.  She is currently pursuing an MPH degree at MUSC with a concentration in Epidemiology. She is undecided regarding her future career plans and looks forward to further exploring the numerous paths available within PHM over the next two years.

Dr. Betsy Oddo is a first year PHM fellow at MUSC. She earned her MD from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. She then completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. Her current interests include gun violence prevention research as well as advocacy curriculum development. She is currently pursuing an MPH degree at MUSC with a concentration in Epidemiology. Her future career interests include working on a teaching service in an academic center while continuing to stay involved in child health advocacy.
