Child Neurology Residency Salary and Benefits


Resident stipends for July 2020 - June 2021 (revised annually): 

PGY1:  $53,948

PGY2:  $55,717

PGY3:  $57,224

PGY4:  $59,647

PGY5:  $61,849

PGY6:  $64,604

PGY7:  $68,838


Trainees receive three weeks of vacation per year, as well as seven days of educational leave for purposes of attending scientific or medical meetings (educational leave must be approved by the Program Director).

Residents are offered a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, life, long term disability, and long term care insurance. In addition, residents are eligible to participate in one of the two retirement plans offered by the SC Retirement Systems. Details are available on the GME Office website (see link above).

  • Travel funds for one national meeting between PGY-3 and PGY-5 years.  Additional funds may be provided at the Chair’s discretion if the resident is to present at a conference.
