A. Sharee Wright, M.D. joins the MUSC Division of Vascular Surgery as Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery, effective February 22, 2021. Dr. Wright practices all aspects of vascular and endovascular surgery with special interests in aneurysmal disease of the aorta, endovascular management of aortic pathology, carotid disease, diabetic limb salvage, open revascularization, hemodialysis access, and management of venous insufficiency.

Prior to joining MUSC, Dr. Wright was a vascular surgeon with Surgical Associates of Richmond. She has served as an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Surgery in the MUSC Division of Vascular Surgery since October 2019.

Dr. Wright is an active member on multiple professional and scientific societies including the National Medical Association, Society of Vascular Surgery, and as a Fellow for the American College of Surgeons. She is active in the realm of research and education and currently  has 5 publications  and 16 presentations to her name.

She received her fellowship training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine and completed her medical and general surgery training at MUSC. She was named the administrative chief resident of the MUSC General Surgery Residency for the 2012 – 2013 academic year. During her residency, she was nominated for several teaching awards.
