Post-Baccalaureate Reapplication Education Program (PREP)

Dr. Hood Watson speaking to a group of students.

PREP engages promising URM, rural and disadvantaged students in post-baccalaureate courses to prepare them for medical school. At the recommendation of the Admissions Committee, students are invited to apply for the program. Students who successfully maintain a B average in courses are admitted to the College of Medicine. Two to three students participate in this program each year.

Proud Moment

Three students successfully completed the 2018-2019 Post-baccalaureate Reapplication Education Program (PREP) and will matriculate to MUSC’s COM in the fall of 2019. Two students are currently enrolled in PREP and will hopefully matriculate into the College of Medicine in the fall of 2020.
