Preclerkship Medical Students

Available Lists: VIEW ONLY ACCESS. Students may use available lists to pull up hospital encounters.

Summary Tab: VIEW ONLY ACCESS. On the summary screen, print groups are available for vital signs, current medications, and “IP Patient History.”

 

 

 

 

Clinical Students - Third and Fourth Year Medical Students

Pend Orders: YES - Pended orders are sent to an authorizing provider, but not seen by nursing staff until signed by an MD.

Pend Notes: YES - Pended notes are only visible to the author. Inpatient Setting - Pended notes are automatically deleted at patient discharge. Outpatient Setting - Students must remove or complete their ambulatory notes before leaving for the day as to avoid preventing closure of the encounter by the teaching physician.

Medical Student Note: YES - Medical student notes cannot be addended or signed by residents or attendings.

Progress Note: YES

Admission Note: YES

Consult Note: YES

Operative Note: NO

Discharge Summary: YES - Students can generate and share a discharge summary for signature by a resident or attending.

After Visit Summary: YES - Students are able to edit and print the AVS in the Emergency Department.

Handoffs: YES - Students are able to edit and print the handoff.

Medication Reconciliation: YES - Only in the Ambulatory Medicine Navigator.

Problem List (Add/Edit/Delete): YES - Only in the Ambulatory Medicine Navigator.

Review of Systems: YES - Every student needs to do this.

Past Medical, Surgical, Social, and Family History: YES - Every student needs to do this.
