Audience: Every aging researcher, faculty member, student, post-doc, and trainee at MUSC and our partner institutions (Clemson University and the University of South Carolina) are welcome to attend. RSVP is required. Space is limited.

Special rates are available for symposium attendees at the Courtyard Charleston Waterfront hotel. You can reserve a room for a special rate on the guestroom booking website.

We eagerly anticipate the wealth of ideas, discoveries, and shared experiences that will inspire us as we collectively work towards healthier aging for us all.

Poster Abstracts

Abstract Deadline: October 1, 2023

Poster Session: October 26, 2023

Graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty, please plan to present a poster at the Center for Healthy Aging Symposium. This is a great way to share your latest research in the field of aging, find new collaborators, and get valuable feedback!

Please submit a 300-word abstract to muschealthyaging@musc.edu no later than October 1, 2023. Your abstract will be included in the program booklet, and the poster session will be on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All presenters must register for the symposium. Preferred poster size is 48" x 36".

MUSC College of Nursing Palliative Care Showcase

You are invited to the 2023 Palliative Care Showcase! This showcase is free and open to healthcare professionals, students and anyone interested in promoting palliative care. You have the opportunity to participate in-person or virtually. The Center for Healthy Aging will sponsor breakfast!

Center for Healthy Aging Fall Seminar Series

This monthly lecture series, held on the first Thursday at 12:00 p.m, consists of hour-long lunchtime lectures, delivered by invited guests or distinguished members of MUSC. We aim to highlight important developments in aging research, encourage collaborations and provide information about new findings and funding opportunities.
