Annual Retreat
Supported by MUSC’s CTSA and the College of Medicine, the annual Digestive Disease Research Center (DDRCC) Retreat brings together MUSC researchers and trainees with an interest in digestive and liver disease. The retreat features oral and poster presentations and serves as a key venue for sharing research, fostering collaboration, and engaging the broader MUSC community.
At the 6th Annual Retreat on April 11, 2025, 108 attendees participated, with 46 poster presentations and 7 oral presentations. The keynote speaker was Dr. Richard Peek, Professor of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology, and Director of the Vanderbilt Digestive Disease Research Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).
Retreat goals include:
- Showcasing DDRCC investigator research
- Promoting collaboration among GI and liver researchers
- Highlighting DDRCC core and clinical services
- Gathering community feedback on DDRCC activities
