NCVRTC to Celebrate 50th Anniversary
In April 2027, the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center (NCVRTC) will celebrate 50 years of research, training, and service delivery aimed at improving the lives of crime victims. Over the last five decades, the Center has grown into an internationally recognized leadership role in investigating the impact of crime on individuals, families and communities; developing and delivering evidence-based treatments for the problems that affect crime victims; and building community and governmental resources to support victims and their families. To commemorate this anniversary, we will look back at how the Center has translated science into practical tools that have improved the lives of victims of crime.
In the coming months, the NCVRTC will share stories from practitioners, former trainees, and partners who have helped shape its mission. This series will culminate in a gala celebration in Charleston in April of 2027. The event will bring together alumni, faculty, and friends of the Center to celebrate past achievements and look ahead to the next generation of innovation in evidence-based care.
