The Digital Health Core provides expert consultation, training, and support to Research Project Leaders and other traumatic stress investigators across the full lifecycle of digital health interventions — conceptualization, development, measurement, testing, implementation, and dissemination.
In practice, the Core helps trauma-focused investigators to:
- Determine when and how digital health approaches could strengthen their research
- Design and develop digital interventions, assessment tools, training tools, and other technology-enabled solutions
- Access and use MUSC digital development platforms and technical resources
- Responsibly integrate AI to enhance tailoring, flexibility, engagement, and user experience
- Scientifically test digital tools and evaluate their effectiveness and implementation
- Incorporate digital-health expertise from early concept development through real-world deployment
- Build investigators’ knowledge and skills in emerging digital-health methods and best practices
