Campus tours are offered on select Wednesdays and Saturdays at 12:00 p.m. ET. Advance registration is required to reserve your spot.

Spring 2027 campus tour dates will be posted at a later date. Please note that campus tours are not offered during the month of December. We encourage you to continue monitoring this page for updates and upcoming tour opportunities. Please note that all dates are subject to change.

We encourage visitors to wear comfortable shoes, as the tour involves extensive walking throughout campus. Visitors requiring accessibility accommodations should contact the COM Office of Admissions at least five business days prior to their visit.

Please note, participation in a campus tour is optional and is not considered as part of the admissions review process.

Tour Scope

  • The M.D. Program campus tour highlights the facilities, resources, and learning environments utilized by MUSC College of Medicine students. Tours may include academic facilities, student spaces, simulation and learning environments, and opportunities to engage with current student ambassadors.
  • Campus tours typically last approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
  • Please note that we are unable to provide tours or detailed information regarding other MUSC colleges or academic programs. If you are interested in a program within the Colleges of Dental Medicine, Graduate Studies, Health Professions, Nursing, or Pharmacy, please visit the MUSC Find Your Program page to contact the respective admissions office directly.

Tour Attire and Weather

  • Casual attire is recommended.
  • Comfortable walking shoes are strongly encouraged.
  • As a coastal city, Charleston may experience periods of rain, particularly during the spring and summer months. Please monitor the weather forecast and bring an umbrella if needed.
  • Tours may be canceled due to inclement weather. If a cancellation is necessary, registered guests will be notified by email as soon as possible.

Arrival and Parking

  • Tours begin promptly at 12:00 p.m. ET.
  • Charleston traffic can be unpredictable due to weather, construction, special events, and tourism activity.
  • Please allow sufficient time for parking and walking to the tour starting location. We recommend arriving at least 15 to 20 minutes early.
  • Photographs may be taken during campus visits for institutional marketing purposes. Please notify your admissions ambassador upon arrival if you prefer not to be photographed.
  • Detailed arrival instructions and parking information will be provided in your confirmation email.

Guests and Group Visits

  • Prospective students may bring up to two guests unless otherwise approved by the Office of Admissions.
  • Groups of more than eight (8) visitors must arrange their visit directly through the Office of Admissions.
  • Please contact COM-Admissions@musc.edu before submitting a request. The registration form does not accommodate groups larger than eight visitors.

Changes to Your Reservation

  • If your plans change and you need to cancel or reschedule your visit, please email COM-Admissions@musc.edu.
  • We appreciate receiving at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.

After You Register

After submitting your registration form, you will receive a confirmation email containing additional tour details, including arrival instructions, parking information, and the meeting location. Please allow up to 2 to 3 business days for processing.
