In 1971, the College of Medicine conferred a Medical Degree to our first African American medical school graduate, marking an important milestone and a new era for MUSC. Since that time, we have worked to open the doors to more talented students and support them along the journey from application to graduation and beyond. We celebrate the successes of all of our alumni who continue to engage and support our current and future students.
