The 11th Annual SCTR Mentor Training Symposium on “Mentoring Towards Better Grant Applications” was held virtually on Friday, Oct 29th.
This was a very informative symposium that included a keynote address by the NINDS Director of the Division of Clinical Research on “An Insider’s View on How to Compete Successfully for NIH funding. Other presentations by senior NIH funded MUSC researchers were on topics such as which grant mechanism to apply for, setting a timeline, content and grantsmanship, review and feedback by mentors, and strategy for resubmissions. Additionally there was a panel discussion addressing grant related questions raised by registrants. The slides and a recording of the meeting have been posted and are available here:
