Application Process

The application process runs from the end of January to the beginning of March, annually. Interested candidates can apply by accessing our MUSC Careers website. Virtual interviews will be granted to eligible candidates upon review of applications. We will be accepting three athletic training residents.

To qualify for admission to the Medical University of South Carolina Athletic Training Residency, applicants must have:

• Certification from the BOC
• Athletic Training Licensure (or seeking) in the State of South Carolina through DHEC
• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training required
• Master's degree, preferred, in a related field or intend to graduate from a Master's program during the year of application
• Current or seeking certification in CPR/AED
• Two years experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer is preferred
