Division of Experimental Pathology

The Division of Experimental Pathology drives foundational and translational research that informs diagnostic innovation and disease understanding. The division’s laboratories and shared cores, including the Carroll A. Campbell Jr. Neuropathology Laboratory and the South Carolina Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, support collaborative research efforts across the university and beyond.

The Division of Pathology Informatics leads initiatives at the intersection of medicine, technology, and data science. With expertise spanning laboratory information systems, machine learning, digital health, and regulatory compliance, the division supports research at MUSC and other leading academic medical centers. Its faculty and staff train students, residents, and fellows in informatics and contribute to national research collaborations, including partnerships with the U.S. Veterans Health Administration.
