Our department houses two graduate programs designed to train students in the rigors of scientific research, expose them to contemporary experimental approaches, and train them in the design and interpretation of experimental data.
The Pharmacology Graduate Program and the Microbiology & Immunology Graduate Program offer both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Students who want to pursue a Ph.D. apply through the College of Graduate Studies Admissions Committee. After their first year, students enter the Pharmacology Program or Microbiology & Immunology Program by choosing a mentor in that specific program.
