Psychiatry Residency Programs (GME)

Welcome to MUSC Psychiatry’s Graduate Medical Education Programs. Our long-standing residency training programs in Psychiatry, Combined Medicine & Psychiatry, and Combined Neurology & Psychiatry prepare medical school graduates for careers across the breadth of psychiatry and mental health care. We strive to stay at the forefront of Psychiatry education and training, preparing our graduates for the ever-expanding field of Psychiatry.  All our core residency programs and fellowship programs are ACGME Accredited and allow graduates to sit for the appropriate board certification exam after graduation. Within the Psychiatry Residency, we have several tracks and special interest areas including Research, Interventional Psychiatry, Integrative and Collaborative Care, Psychotherapy and Medical Education.

*Graduate Medical Education (GME) is another name for specialty and subspecialty residency training programs for physicians after graduating from medical school.
