Continuing Education Accreditation

Thank you for your interest in offering Continuing Education (CE) credit for your program. The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is located in the Charleston Tri-County area. We are pleased to announce we can facilitate local and national CEU accreditation for psychologists, psychiatrists, medical professionals, social workers, licensed professional counselors (LPCs), nurses, judges, attorneys, and legal professionals. For questions regarding CE credit, and to submit request for accreditation please contact psych-events@musc.edu. 

Continuing Education Accreditation for Psychologists

Please find below the documents which must be completed in order to receive continuing education (CE) units for your activity. The most important item is the Request for Accreditation which must be submitted in the planning stages of the event. The request and marketing materials must be approved before any brochures/announcements are circulated. Send requests to psych-events@musc.edu

The Medical University of South Carolina is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Medical University of South Carolina maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

If you are interesting in offering  other accreditation such as Licensure of Professional Counselors (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist and Psycho-Educational Specialists (LLR), South Carolina Nursing Association (SCNA), or SC Bar Continuing Legal Education (CLE) CE credit, please find below the documents which must be completed in order for MUSC to assist and facilitate. The Medical University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Office of Continuing Education is approved by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational to sponsor continuing education trainings related to counseling/mft/school psychology. The Medical University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences OCE maintains the responsibility for this program and its content.
