This seminar will discuss the facets of mindfulness and how it can be used to promote resilience and cognitive fitness. We will discuss research findings related to these areas and discuss its implications for leader development and high-stress occupations. While many of us use exercises like jogging and weight training to enhance our physical fitness, research is pointing to the use of mindfulness activities to strengthen our cognitive fitness.

At the conclusion of this seminar attendees will be able to:

  1. Identify the facets of mindfulness practice
  2. Describe research findings on how mindfulness can improve well-being and cognitive performance
  3. Identify ways in which mindfulness can be a useful tool in leader development and for high stress occupations
