Program for Human Microbiome Research
Our mission is to catalyze human health research by discovering actionable host and microbiome interactions in vivo, in vitro, and in silico.
The Division of Biomedical Informatics and Artificial Intelligence in the Department of Public Health Sciences advances data-driven health research, education, and innovation at MUSC. We bring together expertise in biomedical informatics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and multimodal data science to transform complex clinical, genomic, imaging, social, and other health data into knowledge that supports discovery and improves health. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, rigorous methods, responsible AI, and the training of the next generation of biomedical data scientists, we develop and translate innovative approaches that strengthen research and help shape the future of health care.
