Munden STR Gold Medal announcement:
The Society for Thoracic Radiology (STR) has awarded the 2025 gold medal to Reginald F. Munden, MD, DMD, MBA. The award is to recognize an individual who have made significant contributions to the STR and provided outstanding service to the subspecialty of Thoracic Radiology. Dr. Munden served as The STR President from 2004-2005 and served on numerous committees as a member and Chair. He is a recognize national leader of Thoracic Oncologic Imaging, including lung nodule evaluation and Lung Cancer Screening. Dr. Munden is Chair of the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC where he holds the Philip Costello Chair of Radiology.
