Application Process

Thank you for your interest in the Neuroradiology Fellowship at MUSC. We have (4) PGY-6 positions available for the 2025-26 appointment year.

Our fellowship program participates in the NRMP Match and applicants must submit application materials through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications are complete when the following is received through ERAS:

 

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation (one should be from your Program Director)
  • Photocopy of the Dean’s letter from your medical school or ECFMG certificate
  • USMLE board scores (Step 1, 2 and 3 are all required)

 

To apply please register and upload your application directly to ERAS.

 

 

Our minimum criteria include:

 

A medical degree from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada, accredited college of osteopathic medicine in the United States, or medical school outside of the United States or Canada along with ECFMG certification. Completion of Diagnostic Radiology residency or equivalent and USMLE Step 1, 2 and 3.

 

Selection Criteria for Interview

 

If you are offered an interview, you will be contacted via email to schedule your interview online utilizing the Thalamus scheduling system. Applications are reviewed from a holistic approach.

The program will consider sponsorship of J1 Visa for highly qualified applicants.

 

 

ERAS/Interview Timeline

 

As established by the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments, there will be a common interview timeline for all Radiology Fellowships. For fellowships participating in the match interview/acceptance timeline will be as follows:

  • June 7, 2023 - Residents can begin working on their applications in the ERAS system
  • November 15, 2023 - ERAS begins accepting applications
  • December 6, 2023 - Interview Season Commences - Programs can start reviewing applications
  • May 31, 2024 - ERAS season concludes     
  • June 2024 - Match
