Program Basics

  • Number of fellows: 1 per year
  • Length: 24 months
  • Equal time spent on kidney/pancreas and liver services gaining operative experience with graduated autonomy and proficiency in deceased donor kidney, pancreas, and liver transplant, robotic living donor nephrectomy, deceased donor procurement operations, exposure to living donor liver transplant, robotic kidney transplant, pediatric liver and kidney transplant, perioperative management of complex transplant patients, outpatient clinic experience, participation in selection committees and tumor board conferences.
  • Ample opportunity and support for research and scholarly productivity.
  • Schedule: At least 2 weekends off per month, 15 days of vacation per year + CME time for conferences
  • Salary: commensurate with experience, financial support to present at conferences

  • 2025 – 180 liver transplants, 382 kidney transplants (65 living donor), 19 kidney-pancreas transplants
  • Prior fellows have 100% placement into transplant jobs post fellowship
