This presentation provides an overview of the social, historical, and academic foundations of gaming disorder and its emergence as a recognized behavioral health concern. Current research on gaming disorder in pediatric populations will be reviewed, with a focus on the relationship between problematic gaming behaviors and ADHD. Participants will also discuss the clinical implications of gaming disorder and explore evidence-informed approaches for screening, assessment, referral, and intervention within pediatric healthcare settings.
