Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Fellows: 2025-2026
Stephanie DeFord, M.D. – Stephanie is coming to MUSC from the University of Tennessee where she completed medical school and residency. She is moving with her husband, Sam, and their miniature poodle, Stella. In their free time, Sam and Stephanie enjoy running, cooking, and exploring new restaurants and breweries.
Nolwenn Phan, M.D. – Dr. Phan was born in France and raised in Hawaii. She moved to Seattle, Washington for residency at the University of Washington. Dr. Phan and her partner and have a sweet 13.5 year old pit-mix. In her free time, she likes to travel, play board/card games, cook, and spend time with friends and family.
Whitney Wolaver, M.D. – Dr. Wolaver grew up in Northern VA, but has a lot of family in western PA, specifically the Pittsburgh area. She is a huge Pittsburgh sports fan. She went to VCU in Richmond, VA for medical school and residency. Dr. Wolaver has a wonderful fiancé, who is a clinical pharmacist, and two cats named Dex and Remi.
