Medical University Hospital
This is the main hospital at MUSC, which is a 700-bed University hospital and research center. MUSC educates and trains more than 3,000 students and 700 residents in 6 colleges (Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Professions, and Graduate Studies). The MUSC University Hospital has been named a "Top 100" hospital for the last 10 years.
Ashley River Tower
First opened in 2008, Ashley River Tower (also referred to as ART) is an example of MUSC's commitment to patients and their families. This is a 156-bed hospital that includes an ICU, ORs, and Labs.
Rutledge Tower
is located at the corner of Rutledge Ave and Calhoun St. and is home to many of our outpatient services.
Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital
Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital has been a Level 1 Trauma Center, 250-bed pediatric hospital focused on more than 26 specialty areas since it opened in February 2020.
Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center
The VA Medical Center (VAMC) provides the highest-level quality complex care to over 75,000 veterans along the South Carolina and Georgia coast. This hospital has 152 beds and includes 6 community-based outpatient clinics, a 20-bed nursing home, women's health, a medical and surgical ICU, and more inpatient and outpatient care.
