The Center for Community & Public Safety Psychiatry Division (CPSPD) at MUSC offers several programs and centers.
CPSPD Programs
Forensic Psychiatry Program
The MUSC Forensic Psychiatry Program provides assessment and consulting services to criminal and civil legal entities, supports the year-long forensic psychiatry and psychology fellowship training programs, and conducts forensic research.
MUSC Resilient Responder Program
The MUSC Resilient Responder Program was established in 2020 to fill a need for front line personnel serving in various positions throughout the greater Lowcountry of South Carolina frequently responding to traumatic circumstances.
Progressive Professionals Program
The MUSC Progressive Professionals Program is a comprehensive evaluation, intervention, and monitoring service for professionals referred for problematic workplace conduct.
Youth & Family Forensic Program
The MUSC Youth & Family Forensic Program specializes in child development and parenting intervention.
The Assessment for Civil Claims, Eligibility, and Supportive Services (ACCESS) Program
The ACCESS program provides comprehensive civil forensic evaluations across a wide range of non-criminal matters. Services include assessments for workers’ compensation, private disability insurance claims, ADA workplace accommodation, educational ADA/504 needs, personal injury, testamentary capacity, and other civil concerns that benefit from a structured psychological evaluation.
