Residency Programs in Radiology

Advancing Expertise in Diagnostic Imaging

MUSC’s Department of Radiology provides nationally recognized residency training grounded in excellence, compassion, and innovation. Our programs prepare future leaders in radiology through immersive clinical experiences, advanced imaging technologies, and mentorship from expert faculty. Residents gain exposure to diverse patient populations across the state’s leading academic medical center, developing the skills needed to excel in academic, research, and clinical practice.

Our faculty are accomplished educators, clinicians, and researchers who foster a collaborative learning environment that encourages discovery and professional growth. With access to state-of-the-art imaging suites, specialized rotations, and multidisciplinary learning opportunities, residents are empowered to shape the future of imaging science and patient care.

Diagnostic Radiology Medical Physics Residency

The Medical Physics Residency offers a two-year, CAMPEP-accredited program focusing on all aspects of diagnostic radiologic physics. Residents engage in supervised rotations in general radiography, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and imaging informatics. Training occurs across MUSC’s premier facilities, including the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and Hollings Cancer Center, preparing graduates for ABR certification and leadership in clinical medical physics.
