Division faculty members offer outstanding tertiary and quaternary patient care, conduct leading-edge research, and deliver specialized training for the next generation of cardiologists.
Education
The Division has a long and rich history of training generations of cardiologist practitioners and academicians, graduating over 100 fellows in cardiovascular disease to date. The division currently trains six fellows per year in general clinical cardiology. We also offer fellowship training programs in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure and transplant, and adult congenital heart disease.

Research
The research portfolio for the division exceeds $25 million dollars and includes funding from the NIH, NHLBI, VA and various industry sponsors. Our robust clinical research program currently has more than 50 ongoing trials in cardiac arrhythmia, congestive heart failure, coronary intervention and heart transplant.
