The MUSC Fellowship Training Program in Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine produces outstanding physicians who are fully prepared to pursue careers in academic medicine. The division offers four fellowship programs and an NIH-funded T32 training grant for fellows who are interested in pursuing a career in clinical, translational, or basic research. With a team of nationally renowned faculty, the division offers comprehensive clinical services, including specialized clinics, inpatient pulmonary consultations, interventional bronchoscopy, and critical care. Our multidisciplinary centers focus on interstitial lung diseases, cystic fibrosis, lung transplantation, sleep disorders, and more. Dee W. Ford, M.D., MSCR

Director & Professor, Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy & Sleep Medicine

Dee W. Ford, M.D., MSCR, is a Professor of Medicine & Division Director for MUSC's Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy, and Sleep Medicine. She is a physician scientist and physician leader with expertise in health services research, health professional education, and quality improvement. Dr. Ford was awarded the 2019 Department of Medicine Faculty Mentoring Award and the 2020 Population Health Award from the MUSC Foundation for her outstanding contributions to improving the health of the state of South Carolina. Nationally, she has served on a number of leadership committees for both the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.
