Pediatric Primary Care Residency Application Process

We are seeking residents with a passion for general pediatrics and primary care. We take 3 residents per year, and our program participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). All applications are accepted exclusively through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). This program is considered a separate ERAS track from the categorical program, so please ensure that you apply to and rank the primary care program as appropriate.

Application Procedures & Guidelines

• Submit your application once ERAS opens, applications received by the MSPE release date are given priority consideration for interviews
• Interviews will be held during November, December, and January
• Interviews are typically scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the exception of holidays

Interview Selection Assessment Criteria

• Completed ERAS application
• MSPE
• Medical School Transcript
• Three strong letters of recommendation (we do not require a Chair letter)
• Personal Statement
• Research Experience

Applications for Foreign Medical Graduates

All foreign medical graduates must submit their application through ERAS. Our program only accepts J1 Visas. Requirements for foreign medical graduates include the same criteria as listed above plus the following:

• Completion of medical school within the past 2 years (unless already enrolled/completed domestic residency program)
• Taken and passed USMLE Step I
• Must be ECFMG Certified prior to rank deadline
• Excellent communication in English
• Additional materials may be required

To Be Ranked After Interview

• Must have met the above requirements
• Must have taken and passed USMLE Step 2 and/or COMLEX 2
• Must be registered with the NRMP
