Salary

Salary stipends will be reevaluated in the fall of each year, and any changes will be made effective October 1 each year. All Residents will be notified if there are changes to the established stipend levels.

Below is the 2025-2026 Resident Salary Information: 

PGY1:  $61,935

PGY2:  $64,151

PGY3:  $66,221

PGY4:  $69,299

PGY5:  $72,370

Leave

  • 3 weeks paid annual leave

Residents are offered a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, life, long term disability, and long term care insurance. In addition, residents are eligible to participate in one of the two retirement plans offered by the SC Retirement Systems. Details are available on the GME Office website (see link above).
