Research

Our division in conjunction with the faculty from the Center for Biomedical Imaging and the College of Health Sciences at MUSC are carrying out research we hope will lead our patients to a more active and pain-free lifestyle.

Active research projects include:

  • Qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the articular cartilage of the hip and knee.
  • Efficacy of the use of traction in the MRI evaluation of hip cartilage.
  • Utility and effectiveness of MRI in evaluation lupus arthropathy.
