Med-Peds Residency

Current Internal Medicine Pediatrics Residents Group

The Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program combines two outstanding programs and provides a unique training experience. The program exposes the resident to every sub-specialty with an emphasis on primary care.

Upon completion of the program, residents are eligible for board certification in both internal medicine and pediatrics. Graduates may elect to enter primary care private practice, general academic medicine and/or pediatrics, hospitalist work, or specialty fellowship training in either or both disciplines.

The combined residency program requires four years (48 months) of residency training, divided equally between internal medicine and pediatrics. Throughout the four years of training, the resident rotates between internal medicine and pediatrics, alternating between each service. Continuity clinic for all residents incoming 2020 and beyond occurs weekly and is located at our new Med-Peds clinic.

This exciting, rigorous training program is a great fit for people who love both fields of internal medicine and pediatrics and welcome the challenge of learning two specialties.
