Division of Abdominal Imaging

Education

The Abdominal Radiology division of the Medical University of South Carolina strives to produce highly knowledgeable practitioners and leaders in abdominal imaging in our state and beyond through the guidance provided by fellowship-trained, nationally recognized experts.

The abdominal division participates many aspects of education from medical students to clinical instructors/fellows.

  • Lectures to radiology residents and medical students.
  • Rotations are available to both residents and third and fourth year medical students.
  • We offer Abdominal Imaging Fellowships
  • Residents from other specialties may elect to participate in the program.

Research

Our nationally and internationally known investigators are dedicated to furthering advances in the diagnosis and treatment of common and uncommon abdominal conditions. Our research mission is to investigate best methods for diagnosis of disease by imaging, increasing accuracy of imaging predictions and to improve the teaching process itself.

Team

Our dedicated abdominal imaging specialists provide patients with skillful diagnostic care, share expertise with colleagues and physicians-in-training, and investigate novel ways to more accurately predict abdominal diseases and conditions.
