MUSC Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program

The Medical University of South Carolina Diagnostic Radiology Residency provides a supportive yet rigorous environment to learn from fellowship-trained faculty known for their superb teaching, outstanding patient care, and clinical research. Residents learn in a professional and collegial atmosphere and are a critical part of our care delivery team.

The goal of our radiology residency program is to train future leaders by offering a rich clinical exposure through a wide variety of rotations providing care to the diverse patient populations we serve. MUSC is a Level 1 trauma center, NCI-designated cancer center, the only solid organ transplant center in South Carolina, and is the top ranked Children's Hospital in the state.

Our curriculum is structured to provide the highest level of education and affords residents the flexibility to pursue personal and professional endeavors about which they feel truly passionate. Most of our residents devote time during their residency to performing cutting-edge research, teaching medical students, honing clinical skills and participating in quality improvement projects. Our residents obtain the fellowships of their choice and become competent well rounded radiologists desirable to both academic and private practice groups.

A healthy work-life balance is encouraged during residency training. Our residents enjoy the rich cultural and geographic diversity in the charming, southern city of Charleston, SC.. Charleston is a livable mid-sized city with easy access to outdoor and family activities as well as cultural and sporting events.
