Q: When will my attendees get their CME certificate?
A: CME certificates are not issued for RSS activities.  Individuals can request one complimentary cumulative credit letter & summary per year.

Q: How can I view how many credits I have earned?

Q: How do I submit credit letters to Verge/RLDatix?
A: To submit credentialing information directly to Verge/RLDatix, please use one of the following methods:
1. To submit by email, send to applications@rldatix.com
2. To submit by fax, send to 888-455-7886

Q: My faculty attended a meeting outside of MUSC.  How do I submit their credit to the CME Office. 
A: Unfortunately, the MUSC Office of CME is not set up to accept any CME Credit earned outside of our office.  Please submit this information directly to Verge/RLDatix.

Q: Who needs to complete a disclosure?
A: Everyone who can control the content of an activity.  The exception is for tumor boards, M&M, and case conferences.  For these, only the activity director, activity coordinator and the planning committee need to complete the disclosure. 

Q: Why does the CME Office need to be included on the email/invite list?
A: This is a safety measure to ensure a disclosure has been completed and the correct information is being sent out

Q: When do we need your flyer & disclosure completed for a GR activity?
A: The flyer and disclosure have to be completed prior to the start of the activity. 

Q: What needs to be present on a flyer/email blast?
A: Date of Activity, Title of Presentation, Speaker’s Name, Objectives, Accreditation statement, Designation statement, Disclosure statement, Disclosure information, If commercial support was received

Q: What is the Accreditation Statement?
A: The Medical University of South Carolina is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Q: What is the Designation Statement?
A: The Medical University of South Carolina designates this live activity for a maximum of ___ AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Please note:  Per the AMA, the AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ has to be in italics. 

Q: What is the Disclosure Statement?
A:  
In accordance with the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education anyone involved in planning or presenting this educational activity will be required to disclose any financial relationships with any ineligible companies. An ineligible company is any entity whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, reselling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients. Any financial relationships with these ineligible companies have been mitigated by the MUSC Office of CME. Speakers who incorporate information about of-label or investigational use of drugs or devices will be asked to disclose that information at the beginning of their presentation.

Q: I completed a disclosure last year, why do I need to do it again?
A: Yes, unless something changes with the disclosure, the disclosure needs to be completed on an annual basis. 

Q:  How long is the activity code valid?
A: 7 days from the start of the activity.
