Overview
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) offers a 12-month ACGME-accredited Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship designed to prepare anesthesiologists to become experts and consultants in perioperative pain management.
Our fellowship provides comprehensive training in the cognitive, technical, and clinical aspects of regional anesthesia, enabling fellows to safely and effectively deliver advanced regional anesthetic techniques and acute pain management across a wide variety of surgical specialties.
Fellows are an integral part of the regional anesthesia service and are responsible for case selection, block planning, and perioperative pain management strategies that facilitate efficient operating room flow while improving patient recovery and outcomes.
Graduates leave MUSC fully prepared to integrate regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine as a central component of their clinical practice in academic or private practice settings.
