Welcome from the Fellowship Program Director

Amanda Overstreet, D.O.Welcome prospective fellows! Our Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship program offers comprehensive training in both adult and pediatric palliative medicine across academic and community settings. With the support of well-established interdisciplinary teams, we are committed to shaping experts and leaders who provide informed, compassionate care to patients with life-limiting conditions. Our fellows gain diverse clinical experience through a variety of rotations, educational opportunities, and research projects.

Joining our program means becoming part of a robust palliative care team that includes physicians, advanced practice nurses, social workers, chaplains, and bereavement coordinators. Our team also benefits from specialized volunteer programs that provide services such as end-of-life vigils, bereavement follow-up, and complementary therapies. This collaborative approach ensures that fellows are equipped to deliver holistic care focused on improving quality of life, expertly managing pain and symptoms, and offering psychosocial and spiritual support to those facing complex illnesses.

We look forward to guiding the next generation of palliative care professionals in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
