Didactics - NIAAA T32 Grant

The T32 Training Programs offer strong didactic programs that stress both clinical and basic science aspects of alcohol and substance abuse. The programs provide training in the following areas:

  • Graduate Courses in Neuroscience
  • Grant writing with a focus on individual predoctoral (F31) and postdoctoral (F32) fellowship applications
  • Research design including use of both animal and human subjects
  • Statistics
  • Data presentation
  • Responsible Conduct of Research
  • Software utilization for analysis and preparation of research publications (e.g. SPSS, SAS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and EndNote)

In addition to these training opportunities, the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC)’s strong commitment to addiction research ensures that trainees are exposed to a rich array of Research Seminars, Journal Clubs and a variety of other conferences and workshops.
