When is your deadline for receiving applications?

The deadline for programs to receive applications is September 25, 2023. Applications are not reviewed unless they are complete (including ERAS application, USMLE Scores, Medical School transcripts, personal statement, letters of recommendation, Dean's letter).

When do you hold your interviews?

Interviews are typically held over two days in mid-November. Interviews for the 2023 Match will be held November 13, 2023 and November 17, 2023.

How do you conduct your interviews?

Typically, interviews are held in-person on the MUSC campus; however, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, interviewees will meet with faculty and residents virtually.

How can I get an application?

The Department of Urology accepts applications only through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). Email Becky Kearns at kearnsb@musc.edu for more information.

Do you require Step 2 examination prior to accepting an application?

No. Candidates may apply to the program prior to receiving Step 2 results. However, upon receiving results, please upload to ERAS or email to Becky Kearns at kearnsb@musc.edu.

Do you accept applications from D.O. candidates?

Yes, we will review any D.O. candidate and offer an interview if the candidate meets the department's requirements.
