Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship

Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship

The Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) provides advanced, comprehensive training in thoracic and cardiovascular imaging, including pediatric cardiac imaging. Our fellows train in a high-volume academic setting and benefit from close, multidisciplinary collaboration.

What sets our program apart is its access to cutting-edge technology and research infrastructure. MUSC is equipped with state-of-the-art CT and MRI systems, including a photon-counting detector CT scanner. Our fellowship is closely integrated with one of the strongest radiology research centers in the region, offering fellows the opportunity to participate in innovative clinical and translational research projects.

Fellows attend weekly multidisciplinary conferences, monthly educational lectures, and are actively involved in teaching and scholarly activities. The program prepares trainees for successful careers in both academic medicine and private practice.

This is a non-ACGME accredited, one-year fellowship, offered through a junior faculty (Clinical Instructor) or clinical fellow appointment in the College of Medicine.
