Post-Baccalaureate Reapplication Education Program (PREP)

Dr. Hood Watson speaking to a group of students.

Description

PREP engages promising students from underrepresented groups, including students with disabilities, those from rural backgrounds, first-generation college students, members of the LGBTQ+ community, those from disadvantaged or marginalized backgrounds, and other students interested in addressing healthcare disparities in the communities they serve, in post-baccalaureate courses to prepare them for medical school. At the recommendation of the Admissions Committee, students are invited to apply for the program. Students who successfully meet all PREP requirements are admitted to the College of Medicine. Two to three students participate in this program each year.
