2024 DOM Research Symposium

On Friday, April 19, we held our 17th Annual Department of Medicine Research Symposium. A total of 46 abstracts were presented at this year’s event, including 3 from junior faculty, 22 from residents/fellows, 3 from graduate students, 4 from postdoctoral scholars, 6 from staff scientists, research specialists, or program coordinators, and 8 from medical students.

  • 8:00 - 8:30 am: Poster Hanging | Bioengineering and Drug Discovery Lobbies
  • 8:30 - 11:30 am: Poster Presentations | Bioengineering and Drug Discovery Lobbies
  • 11:30 am – 12:00 pm: Lunch | Bioengineering Lobby
  • 12:00 – 12:30 pm: Oral Abstract Presentations | Bioengineering 112 Classroom
  • 12:30 - 1:15 pm: Keynote Presentation by Garth Swanson, M.D., entitled "It's About Time: Bringing Circadian Rhythms from the Bench to Bedside in Inflammatory Bowel Disease" | Bioengineering 112 Classroom
  • 1:15 – 2:00 pm: Research Day Poster Award Ceremony | Bioengineering 112 Classroom 

All members of the department, including junior faculty, fellows, residents, postdocs, staff scientists, program coordinators, graduate students, and medical students are encouraged to participate in this event, which will bring together researchers from all divisions to share exciting new findings, facilitate scientific exchange, and identify potential collaborations.
