Histology & Immunohistochemistry Laboratory (HIL)

The Histology Core is set up to assist Basic Science and Clinical Study investigators to prepare specimens for processing as paraffin embedded or frozen samples, sectioning the samples, providing histochemical staining and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining as needed. We have recently added a Leica BONDIII Auto Immunohistochemistry Stainer to enhance the speed of IHC staining, as well as providing improved run-to-run IHC staining consistency within, and across, projects compared to manual IHC.

We are able to help investigators in the design of their experimental staining procedures and to facilitate their ability to move their research projects ahead quickly, with a high level of quality, in a cost effective manner.  We can free up your technician time for other critical tasks even if your staff has experience in tissue processing, sectioning or staining.
