Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Ameet Nagpal, MUSCDivision Chief Welcome Message

Welcome to the MUSC Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Division’s informational landing page! Our faculty group is enthusiastic about providing high value healthcare to the people of Lowcountry who suffer from chronic musculoskeletal injuries, disabilities, and functional limitations.

What is PM&R?
What is a PM&R physician aka Physiatrist?

We have a wide-ranging faculty group that can care for patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, strokes, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal pain, among other diagnoses. We care for patients in the inpatient rehabilitation setting at the MUSC Health Rehabilitation Hospital, in the acute care hospital at MUSC Main Campus, and in our ambulatory clinics at Rutledge Tower, MUSC Health West Ashley Pavilion, Nexton Medical Park, and Chuck Dawley. Please peruse our website and feel free to reach out to any of our faculty members for any questions you may have!
