Curriculum

Residents will rotate monthly through one of eleven subspecialties. Under the guidance of over 50 department clinicians, the ATC resident will conduct patient histories, perform physical examinations, interpret imaging, scribe clinic notes, enter orders, answer patient messages, and collaborate on treatment plans with their supervising provider. In addition, they will attend weekly grand rounds and didactics, journal club, weekly subspecialty conferences and independent research. Following each rotation, the ATC resident will complete a comprehensive examination and is subject to evaluation by their preceptors.

  • Individual/collaborative research
    • Each resident is responsible for performing 1-2 hours per week of independent research specific to their monthly specialty. Preceptors and overseeing physicians reserve the opportunity to test ATC residents on their knowledge of current/pertinent research topics.
