Cores Overview

 Administrative Core A
The primary goal of the COCA Administrative Core A is to insure that all components maintain a high fidelity of scientific communication and data sharing in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. Core A provides leadership in facilitating mentoring activities and programs within the COCA and in COCA outreach to the local, national and international scientific communities, and to the public. Core A is also responsible for statistical support and maintaining the Databases generated by the COCA.

Animal and Validation Core B
The central goals of the Animal & Validation Core B are three-fold: 1) to provide all preclinical components of the COCA with a continuous supply of transgenic male and female rodents, 2) to validate the reagents and animals used in all components, and 3) to establish additional behavioral models as needed by COCA primary and pilot project investigators.

Pilot Core C
The primary goals of this core are to: 1) mentor early career investigators into the COCA and the field of addiction research, and 2) provide the infrastructure and oversee the execution and development of pilot projects that will contribute new technologies and perspectives to addiction research.
